undiscovered gem of la

Last Saturday I went to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery to watch a screening of The Outsiders run by Cinespia. It’s strange that I lived at most 20-30 minutes from Hollywood my entire life, but never knew this existed. I’ve noticed that I’m usually the last to know of exciting events in the city that I call my home. I guess it isn’t too strange. I have my friends and family here, so I’m not actively looking for exciting things to do. Unfortunately this has led to not knowing what little gems LA has to offer.

I had no idea this had been going on for the past 13 years! In fact, I was the only one in the group who didn’t know this existed even though I was the sole native LA-er. I may actually know more events going on in the cities I’ve visited than the one I live in. More than the movie I realized that this was one of the first times I actually noticed the sun set in LA and how beautiful it is. LA is not just filled with restaurants, bars and clubs. It’s worth checking out and I’m pretty damn lucky to be living here.
